Northern Ireland, under EU control, is being told to ensure that local Smoky Bacon crisps manufacturing is banned. This is because the EU has moved to ban an ingredient used to produce that "smoky" flavour. Meanwhile, Smoky Bacon Crisps continue to be manufactured in England, Scotland and Wales, and can be imported to Northern Ireland.

No pigs were harmed during the making of these Tayto smoky bacon crisps.. I suspect the carcinogenic aspect to crisps in general is by frying them in seed oils. But ever so moreish, ever so addictive.. them.. 😂
