These bruises were proudly displayed, like it was a great thing..

I literally saw a young woman walking into a bar I was in and opened her top slightly, revealing bruises from a bedroom encounter she had with a particular male in our village.. Another young woman ended up similarly bruised by this man a short while later and left with a child.. Adolescence rang in my mind..
