Be very careful. I tried to withdraw a large amount of cash from my personal Santander account, giving them the required number of days notice. They wanted to know exactly what I was withdrawing MY money for . I explained that it was for an investment opportunity. That was not sufficient. I argued that I was not prepared to divulge exactly what that opportunity was for reasons of privacy. They then froze my entire account for over 3x months without further explanation! Disgraceful behaviour!
