The Home Office reveals it wants 5000 houses to home 20,000 illegal migrants. These will now be taken off the rental market so that the migrants can be accommodated as a priority! Tough luck for homeless Brits.

This of course will just push up the cost of private rental. I remember when the Ugandan genuine refugees were housed at old RAF bases ( Thorney island) in the barracks and they were very grateful for that. Why not put them up in places like this before deportation!
