Scotland to keep face masks until Christmas

Rules on wearing face coverings in Scotland could remain in place until Christmas, the deputy first minister has said. John Swinney told BBC Scotland it was "perfectly conceivable" that masks could still be mandatory in December.

France goes Covid fascist.

Emmanuel Macron has ordered all healthcare workers to get vaccinated and has announced special COVID passes as the country continues to fight rising infections.

In a televised address, France's President said all health care workers, nursing home workers and anyone who cares for the elderly or unwell at home must have coronavirus vaccines by 15 September. Those who fail to do so could face sanctions or fines.

The president also announced anyone who wants to go to a restaurant, shopping centre or several other public places will need a COVID-19 pass, which can only be given to people who have been fully vaccinated, have a fresh negative test or have recently recovered from the virus.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson last night warned Covid curbs could return in September if new freedoms are abused. He confirmed most restrictions will be axed on Monday but at a gloom press conference insisted caution was vital.

It's all an act. They have every intention of reimposing restrictions in September, if not before. 

Jamaica demands £7billion in slave trade reparations from the UK.

Jamaica is planning to ask the United Kingdom for compensation for the Atlantic slave trade in the former British colony, a senior government official said.

The Caribbean island nation will file a petition that could seek billions of pounds in reparations, pending legal advice, Olivia Grange, Jamaica's minister of sports, youth and culture, said.

England football fans are NOT racist and must be allowed to protest!

England footballer Tyrone Mings has accused the home secretary of pretending to be disgusted by racist abuse, after she previously described taking the knee as "gesture politics". Marcus Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho were allegedly targeted after they missed penalties in the Euro 2020 final.

I believe English football fans are the least racist of people but can that be said of ALL English footballers? Let's discuss.

Having missed his penalty in the Euros final last night, it is being claimed that Marcus Rashford is the victim of racist abuse. But where is the evidence of this? How do we know who is pushing out racist tweets and for what reason? 

The non-existent Covid Death toll of 2021

Government scientists are predicting that we can expect 100-200 deaths per day this summer from Covid 19. This is ten to twenty times higher than in summer 2020 when we didn't have vaccines and when the Alpha variant was three times more dangerous than the current Delta variant. They are simply scare-mongering when there is nothing happening out there.

Beware politicians manipulating sporting events for their own petty advantage. England did well to reach the euro 2020 final but the better team won and we should congratulate Italy. 

Ireland to impose vaccine apartheid.

The Irish government is expected to sign off on plans to reopen indoor hospitality later. It is hoped legislation allowing double vaccinated people to eat and drink inside bars and restaurants can be passed by the end of the week. People who have recently recovered from Covid-19 will also be allowed to access indoor hospitality.

The unvaccinated may not enter.
